We're partnering with Tanners Wine Merchants to launch the very first Shrewsbury Wine Trail, taking place exclusively during Shrewsbury Food Festival weekend on 27th and 28th June.

Whether you're a dedicated wine enthusiast or simply looking for a unique way to spend the day with friends after our Food Festival, the Tanners Wine Trail is the perfect opportunity to discover fantastic wines, visit some of Shrewsbury's favourite venues, and soak up the atmosphere across the town.

The trail can be completed at your own pace and in any order over the weekend, giving you the freedom to create your own wine-tasting adventure.

  • A Wine Trail booklet
  • Five vouchers to redeem at participating venues 
  • A 100ml glass of wine at each venue
  • A choice of two wines at every stop

With five venues taking part across Shrewsbury, you'll have the chance to sample a variety of wines while exploring the town and discovering somewhere new along the way.

Tickets can be purchased online in advance. Your Wine Trail booklet can then be collected from Tanners Wine Merchants or from the Shrewsbury Food Festival admissions area during the event weekend.

How it works

Once you've purchased your ticket, collect your trail booklet from either Tanners Wine Merchants or Shrewsbury Food Festival and simply visit the participating venues throughout the weekend and exchange a voucher for your chosen wine. There is no set route, so you can complete the trail in whichever order suits you.

Why not make a day of it? Stop for lunch, enjoy a second glass, explore the town centre, and experience everything Shrewsbury Food Festival has to offer.

You do not need to have a ticket to Shrewsbury Food Festival to take part in the Tanners Wine Trail, this event is running alongside the festival.
